CBD products
There are several types of CBD products on the market. The most common form being CBD oil. CBD oil can largely vary in applications of CBD tinctures, and CBD e-liquids (also known as CBD vape oil), which are both becoming increasingly popular. As well as CBD oil, CBD capsules, CBD creams, and CBD gummies are examples of other alternative CBD products. Each of these CBD based products mentioned vary in the ways that they can be taken and administered, and therefore have different levels of bioavailability (how the substance is absorbed). The higher the bioavailability percentage, the faster the medicine will take effect.

CBD concentrations
As well as varying in different product forms and bioavailability, CBD also differs in strength levels/concentrations. These include CBD Isolates, Full-Spectrum CBD, and Broad-Spectrum CBD:
– CBD Isolates: Only contain CBD, with zero traces of other psychoactive compounds or cannabinoids found in Cannabis, such as THC (delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol), or cannabidiol (CBD).
– Full-Spectrum CBD: Includes all components of the cannabis plant, containing <0.3% HTC at its highest strength.
– Broad-Spectrum CBD: This contains most compounds of the cannabis plant, and unlike Full-Spectrum, Broad-Spectrum contains micro-traces of THC.

Where it is legal
Regarding the legal regulations on CBD, CBD fulfilment is perfectly legal (depending on the THC content that the product contains). For example, CBD is legal in the United Kingdom, providing that CBD products contain <0.2% of THC. The laws on CBD in America on the other hand vary tremendously, as it is legal in all 50 states, however, each state has its own individual laws on the traces of THC that CBD products are allowed to contain.

The rise of CBD
Since CBD was legalised in 2018, CBD fulfilment in the UK, and internationally, has been on the rise, and the product itself is booming, hitting higher estimated sales figures than ever before in the United Kingdom. It is so popular that consumers can purchase everything from CBD oils, capsules, creams, and gummies from chemists, health food stores, supermarkets, and dispensaries across the country, and that’s excluding CBD eCommerce and the online markets. Currently, industry analysts estimate that the annual value of the UK CBD industry sits at around £700 million.

The laws on CBD deliveries in the UK
CBD fulfilment is perfectly legal with regards to sending and receiving CBD products through the mail in the United Kingdom, providing that both the product and delivery company’s laws and regulations are met. As a result, if the CBD product(s) successfully adheres to the UK law, they are lawful to deliver through the postal system. In the UK, CBD products containing <0.2% THC can be lawfully purchased and mailed throughout the country.

Carriers that offer UK delivery services for CBD
Every carrier in the United Kingdom can offer CBD delivery services. This includes services from Royal Mail, DPD, EVRI, Yodel, Insight, UPS, and many more delivery companies, providing that the product contains less than 0.2% THC. It is also important to note that senders of CBD products are not required to present paperwork at the time of shipping, but documentation such as certificates may be requested at any time, so being able to provide proof of product legality (if necessary), is crucial.

The laws on CBD international shipping
International CBD fulfilment and shipping is just as legal as mailing CBD products domestically within the UK. Shipping CBD overseas is however a slightly more complicated matter, as not only do the legalities of the product have to comply with shipping requirements, but it must also comply to the legalities of shipping from the place of origin, as well as to the legalities of the international destination. A business must be considered a ‘compliant’ business before shipping CBD overseas.

Countries that allow international shipping for CBD

Almost all countries worldwide allow CBD to be shipped internationally, regardless of whether the CBD is internationally imported or exported. It is essential however to first check what percentage of THC certain countries across the globe will allow their CBD products to contain. For example, some EU countries and some states in the USA allow the sale and use of CBD products, provided that the THC content is lower than 0.2%, while other countries allow <0.3% THC. For additional clarity, the only countries where CBD is completely banned is the United Arab Emirates, Russia, and Malaysia.

Environmental conditions and temperatures
When storing CBD oil, there are three key elements to consider in ensuring that the product has a long shelf life:

– Light: CBD can be prone to light degradation when exposed to high levels of UV for long periods. To protect oil-based CBD products, it is best practice to keep these items in dark, dry areas of storage.

– Air: CBD oils can also be affected by air molecules if it is incorrectly sealed, as harsh exposure to oxygen can damage the integrity of CBD. Therefore, CBD must be stored in an airtight container.

– Temperature: CBD oils are very temperature sensitive. Freezing products can be an option when preserving CBD long-term, but to store at a regulated temperature of <21 degrees celsius is ideal.

Carefully storing and fulfilling your CBD products
Here at Finishing Line, our third-party logistics services offer CBD fulfilment where our clients always come first, and when it comes to storing, handling, and fulfilling your CBD products, we can ensure that your CBD oil fulfilment service needs are well accounted for, and that all stock will be treated with absolute care and attention at our fulfilment centre. As a 3PL provider, we have extensive hands-on knowledge and experience, and we want to be the vendor for you. We know how to not only store CBD oils, but also CBD capsules, CBD creams, and CBD gummies, etc., as there are significant differences between each of these CBD based products, meaning that best practices for storing each of them will vary slightly.

Although soft gel capsules already seem protected due to their molecular structure, these must still be stored in a secure container, at a relatively cool temperature (under 20 degrees celsius). This direction for storage should also be applied when storing CBD supplements, CBD creams, and CBD gummies (to be kept in a storage environment that is temperature appropriate, and is also dry and dark, away from sunlight. All products must also be packaged in an airtight, UV-protected container).
