Qualifications: Minimum of Second-Class Honours (2:1) Bachelors Degree

For over 30 years, we have been at the forefront of the supply chain and contract packing industry, bringing innovative solutions to our customers, as well as top-level customer service. Our eCommerce fulfilment division has experienced rapid growth over recent years, and we are focused on growing this to over half of company turnover within 3 years.

 

Due to growth, we are now seeking a PHP Developer to join us and play a vital role in helping the company achieve its goals by taking its user-friendly systems to the next level.

 

What You’ll do as part of our Team

As a PHP Developer you’ll be trusted to:

  • Assist with the testing and maintenance of in-house backend and frontend systems
  • Collaborate with our developers to implement new features and processes
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose problems when issues arise
  • Assist team members and clients with our systems
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to assist with project planning
  • Assist with administrative tasks

The skills and experience you will need

Abilities and Experience You’ll Need to Have

  • At least 2 years PHP experience
  • Strong experience working with MySQL databases
  • Comfortable working with JavaScript (vanilla and jQuery), HTML, and CSS
  • Working knowledge of Git
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
  • A burning desire to come up with new ideas and suggestions
  • Analytical mindset with good numeracy skills
  • Fluency in spoken and written English

 

Abilities and Experience that are Nice to Have

We know it’s not possible for any applicants to have all these skills – ideally, you’ll be able to bring 2 of the following to our team:

  • APIs – we connect to various third-party services
  • Azure DevOps – ensuring that automation throughout the development lifecycle with automated tests, code quality checks, and deployment
  • Java – maintaining our in-house Android app
  • Photoshop
