The Finishing Line is moving to extensive new premises in October 2023, marking a new era for the award-winning contract packing and fulfilment specialist, says Founder and Managing Director, Andy Mead.
“The company has continued to grow and diversify in recent years, outgrowing our existing facilities. Therefore, we are delighted to announce our move to modern premises on Prologis Park in Basildon, where we can bring all our services under one roof, capturing synergies and driving further operational efficiencies,”
“The new building is substantially larger than our current facilities, increasing our production and fulfilment capacity by up to 40%, as well as providing significant extra storage space and an improved working environment for our employees. The new location is just a short distance from our existing premises, which means we retain our strategic position, close to the ports of London Gateway, Felixstowe and Tilbury, and within easy reach of the UK’s largest consumer market. This move means that we can accommodate increased demand for our services from existing and new customers alike, and we look forward to a further period of substantial growth.”
The new facility is 76,000 sq. ft, with an 11,000 sq. ft mezzanine floor and 6 dock levelling doors. It includes 60,000 sq. ft of VNA racking and 14,000 pallet spaces. Future plans include establishing a Customs Bonded facility.
